Shankar and his Rs 30 crores song

It is known news that the showman of the south Shankar is currently busy with the shooting of his movie ‘Yanthram’ and the shooting has been going on briskly with superstar Rajinikanth as the hero while the green eyed beauty Aishwarya Bachchan is the heroine.

It was earlier said that Shankar had planned for his trademark signature song that is usually extravagant and the budget for that was quoted to be close to Rs 30 crores.

Upcoming films of Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan’s much awaited Hindi version of the blockbuster ‘Dasavatharam’ is finally out in theatres. Titled as ‘Dasavatar’ it arrived after 10 months the original was released. Directed by KS Ravikumar, Kamal Haasan transforms into 10 different roles on screen in this extravaganza produced on Aascar Films.

Versatile actor Kamal, is now shooting for his latest venture a remake of Hindi film ‘A Wednesday’ in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Called as ‘Eenadu’ in Telugu it is simultaneously made in Tamil, with Kamal co-starring Venkatesh and Mohanlal in the respective versions.

Kamal Haasan has two projects in line next to the remake. A bilingual film which is yet to be started, will be made and released simultaneously in south and bollywood, followed by it he will act in a film tentatively titled as ’19 steps’. More information on these projects is awaited.

Tammana Kalasala set for release on April 24

Presented by popular director Shankar and produced by MV Gopala Rao on the banner of Jyothi Arts, ‘Kalasala’ is coming up as a good love story. Tamanna and Akhil played the lead roles in the movie coming under the direction of Balaji Shaktivel.

The first copy of the movie is ready. The producer says, ‘We are making efforts to complete the censor formalities as soon as possible and release the film in the third week of April. The story revolves around a youth who pursues his education in the city by coming from a nearby village. How would be his moods and actions had to be seen on the screen.

Besides love and comedy the film had a very good message. However, it would be different from routine love stories with college in its backdrop.’

Director Balaji Shaktivel says, ‘The film was produced in Tamil called ‘Kalluri’. Joshua Sridhar gave melodious tunes to all the songs and the film would attract all classes of audiences. Sriramakrishna penned the dialogues. Camera is by Chezhian, while story, screenplay and direction are by Balaji Shaktivel.

Ravi Teja to romance bikini beauty

Kamal hassan gets rejected

Dasavataram did average business in Telugu and Tamil. Despite the effort from Kamal Hassan (10 roles and so many getups) the film went down the drain for the lack of a coherent storyline and proper screenplay. But this has not deterred the makers of the film to dub it in Hindi. So now we have a Hindi version called Dasavatar. The film released last Friday all over India.

So, how has it been received? Did the Hindi audience like it? The initial answer is a big NO. The film has already got bad reviews and despite Kamal’s presence it is not likely to do well.

The producers seem to forget that a bad film with a weak storyline would be bad in any language, just by changing the language the film may not do well!!
